Arran Blears and Lloyd Walker went close for Lane and their top tackler Mitchell Platt helped keep out West Bowling before the Castleford side went ahead when Blears snatched the ball in a one-on-one tackle and raced 80 yards to score. Ryan Kear, Chris Baker, Ryan Whitworth and Jack Middleton then combined to send in Leon Ashworth to make it 10-0. In the second half, Ashworth sprinted 80 yards to score. Bowling has a man sin-binned and Lane quickly capitalised when Tom Noble, Sam Wilkinson Pycock, Sam Angel and Joe Willock linked in a planned scrum move to put in Kane Wilson and Willock kicked his third goal. Bowling had a second player sin-binned while Lane maintained their discipline throughout. Most of Lane's players had their best games for the club. Blears was MOM and most improved player Angel, Nobel and Willock were also outstanding. |
