Newspaper Report - Improved Lane are quick to establish control. Lock Lane followed their coaches instructions to start the game on the front foot and scored three tries within five minutes, the first on their first set of six. They remained in command and ran up to 62 points, the best try coming from a double shift move with the winger going in at the corner. Rodley became frustrated and had several players sin-binned and one sent off, but Lane showed good discipline. Overall this was a much improved performance with much greater teamwork, a much better attitude and some good lines of running as they progressed through to the next round of the cup.
